Affiliate Marketing: A Lackluster Channel for Flowerstore.ph

Flowerstore.ph has integrated affiliate marketing as part of their strategy, yet the highest sales achieved through this channel have only reached P200,000 during Valentine’s Day, one of their peak seasons.

Seeking Better Results Wondering if P200,000 is the maximum potential of their affiliate program, Flowerstore.ph decided to seek a solution. They hired WOMO to transform their affiliate marketing efforts and unlock greater success.

SOLUTION

Expanding Flowerstore.ph’s Affiliate Marketing Reach

WOMO recognizes that affiliate marketing is still nascent in the Philippine market, with only a few affiliates capable of generating significant traffic, especially for Flowerstore.ph’s target audience. Moreover, affiliate marketing remains misunderstood by many brands.


To address these challenges and expand Flowerstore.ph’s reach, WOMO partnered with major media publishers such as Summit Media, CNN Philippines, WhenInManila, and ClicktheCity. Notably, this was the first time Summit Media and CNN Philippines participated in an affiliate program. Additionally, we recruited content creators and influencers to join the affiliate program, ensuring that all partners were incentivized under a revenue share model to maximize sales and engagement.


Strategic Partnerships Lead to Unprecedented Success

Our strategic partnerships ultimately shattered Flowerstore.ph’s P200,000 sales ceiling, generating over P2.3 million in affiliate-generated sales during the three-week period leading up to Valentine’s Day. This remarkable achievement was a testament to the effectiveness of our approach, leveraging high-traffic media publishers and engaging influencers to drive significant sales and brand engagement.


LAUNCH STRATEGY

Relaunch the Program and Take the Unconventional Route

Stage 1: Rebuild the Program

We took down Flowerstore.ph’s existing affiliate program and relaunched it under WOMO’s affiliate platform, ensuring every affiliate, both existing and new, was managed by our team. This involved rebuilding all components from the ground up, including assets and landing pages.

Stage 2: Tiered Commissions to Boost Performance

We introduced a 3-tier revenue share program, where top affiliates could earn up to a 15% revenue share. Affiliates needed to meet daily sales targets to maintain their tier, incentivizing them to prioritize Flowerstore.ph. Summit Media, for instance, featured Flowerstore.ph in prime spots on their websites, while content creators and influencers posted during peak hours to maximize engagement.

Stage 3: Recruit Unconventional Affiliates

We expanded beyond traditional affiliates, partnering with high-traffic sources even if it was their first time joining an affiliate program. We also continued to recruit conventional affiliates such as coupon and review sites to ensure comprehensive market coverage.

INSIGHTS

Combining High Commissions and Timely Customer Promotions Proved Effective

WOMO ensured affiliates received high commissions and exclusive customer discounts. While these discounts were not large, their uniqueness made them appealing.

 

Influencers provided bursts of affiliate-generated sales, but consistent and primary sales came from media publishers and conventional affiliates, which were crucial in exceeding sales targets.
