Ainsworth bleeds profit; Asia-Pacific is the sole bright spot
What happened
Ainsworth Game Technology reported first-half 2026 results on 26 August 2026. Net profit after tax fell 77.6% year-on-year to AU$1.1 million (roughly US$788,000). Revenue dropped 23.4% to AU$116.5 million for the six months to 30 June 2026. Every major region declined except one: Asia-Pacific posted year-on-year revenue growth, making it the single outlier in an otherwise deteriorating result.
The sources do not break out the Asia-Pacific revenue figure in detail, but the directional signal is clear. While Ainsworth's Americas and domestic Australian segments appear to have dragged the top line down sharply, the Asia-Pacific book moved the other way.

For Philippine land-based operators and gaming equipment buyers, expect more direct senior engagement from Light & Wonder on product roadmap and commercial terms than you have seen in the past. If you have an outstanding conversation with them, this transition is a natural moment to reset it at a higher level.Leadership
