Signal Spotlight · Bloomberry's additional investment on online products
What happened
On 8 October, Bloomberry Resorts announced OnlyFun.PH, a platform that combines gaming, livestreaming, and creator-led content. Users watch live shows hosted by digital personalities and streamers, interact with hosts and other viewers, and reach gaming features on the same platform. Bloomberry says it operates under the license and regulation of PAGCOR, with KYC verification, data security measures, and player controls. Kelvin Kuan, Bloomberry's vice president and head of online gaming, said the launch "reflects our mission to meet the demand of modern consumers for interactive, creator-driven media." The company plans to grow the platform gradually, with original interactive programs and partnerships with more hosts, creators, and streamers. Coverage names no specific creators, and gives no user, revenue, or investment figures for the product.
Where it sits in Bloomberry's online business
OnlyFun.PH is part of FUNaloMAX, which is not new. Bloomberry launched FUNaloMAX in July as a mainstream premium online platform aimed at younger, mobile-first players, built on its own technology. Solaire Online, the premium platform tied to the physical casino's inventory, continues alongside it.
The timeline matters for how to read this launch. FUNaloMAX was Bloomberry's second attempt at online, and OnlyFun.PH is an extension of that second attempt, in a more social format. President and COO Greg Hawkins said in July that "we are no longer dependent on third-party platforms to execute our vision." He has also said Bloomberry wants its online platforms to deliver 20% of group gross gaming revenue by the end of 2027, a target Asgam cites from an earlier interview with IAG.
Why it matters
The signal is about land-based operators treating online as a core business. Bloomberry has a stated revenue target, a rebuilt in-house platform, and now a second product aimed at a different audience. The pressure behind it is visible in the numbers: in the first quarter Bloomberry reported a net loss of ₱125 million, with gross gaming revenue down 13% to ₱14.7 billion and VIP rolling chip volume at Solaire down 39%. Chairman Enrique Razon Jr. has said the revamped online platform could make a positive financial contribution by 2027 if the rollout proceeds as planned.
The product design is also worth noting. Pairing gaming with livestreamed hosts is a bet on engagement rather than transactions. Whether it works is not yet known, and nothing published so far shows user numbers.
One caution on the claims. "First regulated live interactive entertainment platform" is Bloomberry's own description. PAGCOR's licensing of the platform is stated by the company, and the specific licence category has not been disclosed in the coverage we found.
