DFNN narrows loss but revenue keeps sliding

What happened

DFNN Inc reported a net loss of PHP112.4 million (approximately USD1.8 million) for Q2 2026, a 21.7 percent improvement on the same quarter a year earlier. Revenue for the three months to June 30 came in at PHP53.3 million, down 5.8 percent year-on-year. The loss narrowing is driven by cost reduction, not revenue recovery.

Context matters here. PAGCOR's own income is down 91 percent year-to-date as of the reporting period. That is not a DFNN-specific problem. It is a sector-wide revenue compression that flows directly into the economics of every gaming services firm that depends on Philippine operator activity.

The minimum fee floor introduced by PAGCOR is accelerating consolidation by pushing out smaller, marginal operators. That culls the client base for services firms like DFNN before any recovery in volumes can compensate.
