What happened

Okada Play surpassed PHP100 million in gross gaming revenue in October, recording its best month since launch and an increase of circa 50 percent month-on-month, GGRAsia reported.

The figures came from a joint statement by Okada Manila and PhilWeb Corp, the business-to-business service provider supporting the online platform, according to GGRAsia.

Daily active users exceeded 100,000 in October, with Okada Manila president and chief operating officer Nobuki Sato describing both milestones as progress within six months of launch.

The platform runs on PhilWeb’s Online Gaming Platform solution and offers more than 4,000 gaming titles from over 20 content providers, according to the companies’ update.

PhilWeb also handles content aggregation, technical infrastructure and customer service for the brand, while both companies hold Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation licences, Asia Gaming Brief reported.

The companies plan more spending on player acquisition, game content and engagement campaigns as the platform enters its next growth phase, according to Asia Gaming Brief.

PhilWeb expects platforms it operates for other partner brands could also reach PHP100 million in monthly GGR before the end of 2026, the reports said.

  1. Flutter CEO departure: strategy holds, successor mattersPeter Jackson stepping down in October after leading Flutter through its transformation from Paddy Power Betfair into a globally diversified operator is a meaningful leadership event, not a routine handover. Jackson's comment that strategy will continue is the expected exit framing, but Flutter has not named a successor, which means the actual strategic test comes when a new CEO reads the brief on underperforming markets, capital allocation priorities, and the pace of Asia-Pacific investment. For Philippine and APAC-facing partners and platform providers with Flutter commercial relationships, the watch item is not the strategy statement but who gets named and what their track record on market prioritization looks like.Leadership
  2. City of Dreams outperforms while peers bleed VIPBelle Corp's 23% gaming share gain at City of Dreams Manila in H1 2026 is a meaningful outlier in a market where Okada posted a 15% GGR decline and PAGCOR's overall numbers collapsed. City of Dreams running counter to sector weakness suggests mass and mass-premium segment execution is the differentiator, not VIP recovery. For competitors, this is the competitive benchmark: the integrated resort model that holds revenue in a VIP downturn is one built on diversified floor mix and non-junket player acquisition, which is where capex allocation decisions should be pointing now.Market

PH ad curbs make brand loyalty the acquisition engineAsia Gaming Brief reporting that Philippine gambling advertising restrictions are forcing operators toward brand loyalty as the primary competitive lever is the market-structure confirmation of what Signal has been tracking since the Garcia bill was filed. With paid media channels closing legislatively and PAGCOR enforcement active on influencer promotions, acquisition cost per player through compliant channels rises for everyone, which means the operators with the strongest existing user bases and highest retention rates compound their advantage while smaller operators with thin loyalty metrics face accelerating churn without a legal replacement channel.…Regulatory · Philippines
