What happened

PAGCOR has set 1 January 2027 as the deadline by which Entertainment City casino operators must begin the installation process for smart table technology. This is not a completion deadline. It is a start-of-process deadline, meaning operators must have initiated procurement, installation, or a formally recognized implementation program by that date.

The move converts what had been a signaled regulatory preference into a firm compliance milestone. Entertainment City hosts the Philippines' flagship integrated resorts, including Okada Manila, Solaire, City of Dreams, and Westside City.

It's a start date, not a completion date, and at least two of the four already have smart tables.
