PhilWeb revenue doubles; cost structure is the real watch
What happened
PhilWeb Corp reported Q2 2026 revenue of PHP352.4 million, up 96% year-on-year. Net income swung from a PHP16.3 million loss to PHP47 million profit in the same period. The driver is growth in its online platform business, where PhilWeb operates as a B2B technology and services provider to Philippine licensed gaming operators.
The catch: operating expenses rose 60% in the same quarter. Revenue is growing faster than costs for now, which produced the profit swing. But the gap between revenue growth and cost growth is not wide enough to signal that the business has found a stable, scalable cost floor.

Century Entertainment's venture reported HK$45 million in unaudited winnings that quarter and, in June, described the partner as accredited. PAGCOR corrected the record in July. Century's first public response came in late September, resting on a specific legal argument: that a different accredited content provider cures the gap. - Gokongwei takes PhilWeb chair; AI pivot signals new directionLance Gokongwei assuming the chairmanship of PhilWeb, the primary B2B infrastructure provider for Philippine online gaming, is a consequential ownership-level change at exactly the moment the operator stack above it is contracting.
